There was again a large bench of buyers, . including ■ many from North Auckland and - the "Waikato, and there wa§ a ready demand for all sound farm workers. Prices were fully equal to ruling rates. In'two instances £55 was realised, this price being paid by Mr. E. J. Coles, of Glenbrook, for a nine-year-old bay mare from Mr. T. H. "Waite, Ngatea, and also by Mr. O. Pollock, of Pukekawa, for a three-year-old bay gelding from Mr. Georsre Carter, Bombay. A two-year-old bay gelding from Mr. G. O'Hara; Waiuku, was bought by Mr. J. Maloney, Wiri, for £54.
