RESULTS AT WHANGAREI [by telegraph—own correspondent! WHANOfAREI. Friday Tho queen carnival campaign conducted by tho Whangarei Rugby Union carnival committee has been finalised with tho following results: —Miss Moua Finlayson (Rugby town group), 37,577 votes, 1; Miss Molly Sloano (hockey), 30,390 votes, 2; Miss Gladys Thomas (Onerahi-Manaia-Whatitiri-Hikurangi), 28,897 votes, 3; Miss Ronnie Bell (basketball), 11,934 votes, 4; Miss Sarah Royal (Kia Toa-Mangaka-hia-Pipiwai), 11,419 votes, 5. The total receipts have exceeded £SOO, with further returns to come. Tho coronation ceremony will take place in tho Town Hall next week.
