COLLIERY IDLE
STATE MINERS' "ACTION PROTEST AT BROKEN TIME [by telegraph—own correspondent] GREYMOUTH, Thursday As the result of a stop-work meeting of miners held this morning the Liverpool mine was idle to-day as a protest against broken time being worked. The mine worked only two days last week and was idle again 011 Monday and Wednesday of this week. There is no shortage of orders for coal, but transport arrangements, with a shortage of trucks, are stated to be the cause of the broken time.
