LEAGUE OF MOTHERS
Epsom.—At a meeting of the Epsom branch of the league, presided over by Mrs. Wylie, a travel talk was given by Mrs. S." 0. English entitled "Wander my Old Roads." Vocal items by Mrs. Osborne wore enjoyed and tea was served under the convonorship of Mrs. Chambers. Ngahape.—The branch held its ninth annual meeting at the luimo of Mrs. R. M. Addison. An address by Dr. Elizabeth Cole was read by Mrs. Bedford, who also gave the thought for the month. The following were the elHcers elected for the year:—President, Mrs. Bedford; vice-president. Mrs. D. McIntyro; secretary, Mrs. It. M. Addison; town correspondent, Mrs. J. Mclntyro. Mount Albert.—Mrs. Harvey Turner presided over a largo attendance of the branch, when Colonel K. It. Sawer, curator of the Zoological Gardens, spoke of the intelligence and interesting habits of birds. Solos by Mrs. Brown and Mrs. Black were enjoyed, and the thought for the month was given by Mrs. Leman. Hostesses were Mesdames Batkiu and Millar, and afternoon tea was served by Mrs. Deacon, sen., and her committee.
