NEW-ZEALAND TEAM VICTORY IN FINAL MATCH (Received August 20, 10.30 p.m.) SYDNEY, August 26 Playing: the last match of their tour today, the Now Zealand hockey team defeated a Metropolitan team by <i goals to 0. The J'!? 1 ? r ? ~Pr oy ided a splendid exhibition against the strongest metropolitan team seen for some time. ' The New Zealand forwards were too fast for the local men and their play was of a standard seldom seen in Sydney. Tho manager of (he New .Zealand team, Mr. Grade, at the conclusion of the game Bind tho members' exhibition to-day was a completo answer to Australian critics who, earlier in the tour, had said the present team was not up to the standard of previous New Zealand clovons. Wilson, right back for New Zealand, played on outstanding game. The scorers were: Robertson, 2; Browne, 2; Roughton and Watson, 1 each. Some of the players will return to New Zealand by the Awatea to-morrow, and the rest by tho Wanganella on Saturday. Of tho 20 matches played on the tour, the Now Zealand team won 10, three being lost and one drawn. The only test of the tour was won by Now Zealand by 1 goal to 0. The louring team scored 05 goals and- had 21 registered against it. ALTERATION IN DRAW Tho Auckland Hockey Association's fourth grade draw for to-morrow has been altered as follows:—Mount Albert Grammar A v Mount Eden, No. 4, 3.0 p.m., Mr. N. Rico. Tho following team will represent the Grammar Old Boys senior grade to-morrow:— Anderson, Pouncet, Robinson, Herriott, Ross, Nicholson. Pollock, Pearce, Dare, Hill Jerram.
