RAIN DURING SEMI-FINALS [BY TELEGRAPH OWN" correspondent] WHANGAREI, Thursday The primary schools' Rugby tournament for the Roller Stills Shield was continued this afternoon, again in steady rain. The final will bo played to-morrow between Auckland East, winners of No. 1 section, and Auckland North, who Avon their five matches In No. 2 section. A curtain-raiser will bo played for the wooden spoon between Hokianga and Rodney, neilher of which won a match in their respective sections, principally owing to the lark of combination, due to the teams being drawn from scattered areas. Following wero the results of to-day's frames: —Bay of Islands, Rotorua, 3; Whangar'ei, It, Hokianga, ii\ Auckland Central, 0, Auckland East, 0; Waipa, 3, Otamatca, 0; Thames Valley, 15, Rodney, 3; Auckland North, 6, South Auckland 3.

"I do not think that the New Zealand Rugby Union is pulling its weight with us in the way of finance," said Mr. P. Paterson, South Auckland, in moving the resolution. It was pointed out that the money which was already granted by the New Zealand Union was absorbed in providing balls, and that, the union, should mako a grant separately for the competition. A committee was set up to draft a letter to ho sent through the Auckland union, and each sub-union will send a similar letter through its respective union.
