MOUNT SMART DOMAIN
FUTURE CONTROL PLANS CONFERENCE TO BE HELD Control of Mount Smart Domain was discussed by the Minister of Lands, the Hon. F. Lnngstone. in a letter received at a meeting of the One Tree Hill Borough Council last night.
The future administration of the area had been carefully investigated, the Minister said. Before reaching a final decision, however, he had decided that representatives of the One Tree Hill and Onehunga Borough Councils should be invited to attend a conference at Auckland, to be presided over by the commissioner of Crown lands, North Auckland. Questions affecting the area could then be discussed and when the result of the deliberations were conveyed to the Minister, further consideration would be given. The Minister added that the commissioner was being asked to arrange the conference as soon as possible. The Mayor, Mr. I. J. Goldstine. Mr. W. G. Mulholland and the town clerk, Mr. A. Leese, were appointed to attend the conference.
