FISHERIES INQUIRY
THE RETAIL TRADE Conditions in the retail fish trade, the continuity and distribution of fish supplies, wholesale and retail prices and price spread, were among the subjects covered by the Sea Fisheries Investigation Committee, when it resumed yesterday. The whole of the day was spent in hearing evidence tendered by the Auckland Retail Fishmongers' Association.
Evidence was given on many other aspects of the trade, including wastage, licensing of fish shops, hawkers and costs incurred in the retail trade. The question of oyster supplies and sales was also dealt with»
