MUSIC CIRCLE ENTERTAINS An open evening in connection with the music circle of the Lyceum Club was held in the club lounge last night and proved an interesting and enjoyable occasion. The programme, which had been arranged by Madame Ailecn Johns, was varied and unusual, and comprised vocal, instrumental and elocutionary items.
Contributing pianoforte duos were M iss Dora Judson and Mrs. Madelene Wilcox. Flute solos were played by Mr. Hal McLennan; vocal solos wero contributed by Mr. Frank Robinson, Miss Phyllis Lindridge, Madame Aileen Johns and Elliott Johnson; elocution by Mr. Dennis Johns; violin solos by Miss Ida Lockwood, and songs in costume (a glimpse of tho 18th century) by Misses Eileen and Norah Clarke. The accompanist was Mrs. Reginald Reed. Members and visitors wore welcomed by Mrs. S. Chambers, who presided, and following the concert programme supper was served. Cheerful fires added warmth to the lounge, and bowls of foliage and flowers made attractive decorations.
