LINDRUM GOES FAST

ROUND BY MASTER CYKLON

[ll? TELEGRAPH —OWN CORRESPONDENT] HASTINGS, Friday

The final gallops before the opening of the Hawko's Bay Jockey Club's Golden Jubilee. Cup mooting were executed as follows and where not specified the gallops >took place 011 the plough. On the inside grass Lindrum, with his plates on, ran half a mile in 48i!s to beat Gironde (Goulsbro). Lindrum impressed, even though the fact that he was plated assisted liim to make time.

Big Book went well within .himself while covering a round in 1.42. The cup topweight is in fine fettle. There was nothing to choose between Padishah and Soho at the end of a round in 1.41 J. Money Raid ran four furlongs on the inside grass in 51s, and could have done better.

Iddo was restricted to a working gallop over six furlongs in 1.20. His stable companion Parry went solidly over seven furlongs in 1.33. Lacquer and Seyfried were companions over seven furlongs in 1.132 J. Both went pleasingly. Pladie easily defeated Sir Nigel over six furlongs in 1.17. Sir Nigel disappointed. Trailer decisively defeated the cup candidate Passion Flower over a round in 1.41. Trailer went surprisingly well. Gasman went nicely over half a mile in bOla, and appeared to have a little in reserve.

Top Hat and Jazz Boy left five furlongs behind in 1.3 J. They finished abreast, lt was a smart effort.

Lavina was going away from Contact at the end of five furlongs in 1.3£. Lavina looked as if she could have bettered the time if required. Master Cyklon defeated Pakanui over a round in the good time of 1.39. It was the best round that has been registered here for some time. Mqrsyas and Anubis were together at the end of five furlongs in 1.5, with the latter going the better. Knightsbridge and Kalika were sent 011 the grass to register 50is for half a mile. They finished abreast. Tupai was well clear of Royal Bengal at the end pf five furlongs in 1.4. Tupai went impressively, as lie was carrying the best part of 10 stone. Grey Mollv was no match for Haraarin over six furlongs in I.lß*. Haniarin was six lengths in front and could have done better. Mohua and Helios were together after traversing five furlongs in 1.4. Catalogue was under a good hold while running a round in 1.42. flie hurdler took half a second longer and made a good impression. The Crooner directed attention to his prospects by sprinting half a mile in 495. Soho and Peter Beck ford took 51 2-5s for the same distance.
