gj r) —1 quite agree that your correspondent "C.R.W." has made a true statement in regard to Sir Charles Kingsl'ord Smith and the Pacific flights. However, he has made an error in his second statement, namely, about Alcock and Brown's flight across the Atlantic. ft is not generally known that three American naval flying boats made the trip over the Atlantic from Florida to Spain and thence to London considerably before Alcock and Brown's venture'. H your correspondent is so eager to give honour where due he might at least make sure of his facts beforehand. Dave.
