ORAKEI BASIN CLUB The Orakei Basin Model Yacht Club held a series of races for model yachts in the Orakei Basin on Saturday afternoon. The results were;— Three-foot Championship.-—Flying Cloud, 1; Torangi, 2; Miss Orakei, 3. Four-foot Championship.—Crusader, 1; Renown, 2; Bullet, 3. Final race for Mr. R. H. Melville's Trophy. Redwing, Sm, 1; Sea Diel, Sm, 2; Emerald, Bm, 3. Final race for Mr. A. R. Bevin's Trophy for Junior Members.—Comet, 1; May, 2; Golden Bubble, 3. WALKING RECORD SWEDISH ATHLETE'S SUCCESS (Received April 1, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, April 3 A world's record was established at the British amateur athletic, championship meeting to-day, when J, Niakaelsson, of Sweden, won the seven miles' walk in 50m 10.25.
