March 26 Training at Randwick to-day was done alongside the rails of the course, which was very fast. Pamelus ran five furlongs in 1.2{. He continues to give every satisfaction. Gold Rod and Mananui finished together, easily beating Silver Standard over nine furlongs in 1.56 J. The gallop was regarded as a sound test for Ma nanui. Although Wotan beat Le Grand in 1.152 for seven furlongs, the effort was only fair. Cuddle, who has not been very well, was beaten by Upoko Ariki and Country Party at the end of seven furlongs, run in 1.29. At Victoria Park good gallops were four furlongs in 48$ by Grand Mogul and Prittle Prattle against the rails, and five furlongs in 1.44 by Allunga, also five furlongs in 1.4$ by Young Idea and Celebrate with tho flags out 70ft.
