ENTICED FROM FARMS
MEN 'FOR PUBLIC WORKS ALLEGATION AT A MEETING An allegation that the Public Works Department was enticing men from farms for other work, "contrary to its stated principles," was made by Mr. G. Gibson at a meeting of the F.gmont County Council. He said that a farm labourer who was receiving good wages and was content at his job, had been approached with an oifer of employment. Another instance where two youths had allegedly been approached was cited by another member of the council.
