NATIONAL MEMORIAL FUND ODD AND PENCE r (Received January Jo, 0.5 p.m.) British "Wireless RUGBY, Jan. 14 The King George V. National Memorial Fund now amounts to £'.'i92,BS7. In a final appeal, which is being made during the week beginning to-day, 1t.000,000 owners of banking accounts are invited to instruct their bankers to transfer to the fund the odd skill ings and pence in the accounts on tho evening of January 20, which is tho anniversary of King George's death.
A broadcast appeal in connection with the fund to provide a national tribute in the form of playing fields throughout the country, was made last evening by the Lord Mayor of London, Sir George Broadbridge.
