HOWICK LOAN PROPOSAL
MEETING OF RATEPAYERS In connection with the special loan proposal to raise the sum of £BOO ior the purposes of acquiring the- property of the Howick Bowling and Croquet Club, a meeting of ratepayers was held in the Howick Town Hall. About 60 were present. A poll will bo taken on the question next Monday. An outline of the history of the club was read bv the chairman of the board, Mr. H. H. Bushel!. Questions relating to -the loan proposal were answered by the clerk of the board, Mr. J. A. Kyd. There are approximately 560 persons on the ratepayers' roll eligible to vote.
