NEW FIRE STATION
MORRINSVILLE BRIGADE [FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT] MORRINSVILLE, Friday A start was made this week with the erection of tho new Morrinsville Firo Station at the corner of Studholme and Anderson Streets. The contract price is £2148. The plans provide for a two-storeyed building of reinforced concrete with a frontage of 31 feet to Studholme Street and of 55 feet to Anderson Street. To allow for possible street widening the building will be set, back five feet from Studholme Street, and 10 feet from Anderson Street. On the ground floor is an engine room, which can accommodate two engines, and three bedrooms for liiemen sleeping on the station. Upstairs is a social ball, which will have a floor suitable for dancing.
