OVERDUE LAUNCH

SEARCH INSTITUTED DESTROYER AND YACHT STEAMER DIVERTS COURSE (Received November 11, 10.55 p.m.) SYDNEY, Nov. 11 Ihe destroyer Vendetta to-da.v began a search f° r the cruiser launch Viking, overdue at Lord Howe Island. The large yacht Wanderer, owned by Mr. Norman Wallis, of Sydney, also left for the saino purpose. Mr. Wallis, who is a friend of Mr. Gower Wilson, owner of tho Viking, has five companions and has taken provisions for 10 days The French steamer Cap Tarifa, en route to Noumea from Port Kembla, is diverting her course with the object of searching for the Viking.
