SERVICE TO TE PUKE
MR. H. 0. COONEY'S RECORD RETIREMENT AS MAYOR [by TELEGRAPH —OWN' correspondent] TAURAXGA, Tuesday Mr. H'. 0. Coonev, who has been a resident of Te Puke for the past 18 years, is taking up his residence in Tauranga. For 16 years Mr. Coonev was a member of the municipal authority at Te Puke, for 14 successive years being chairman of the Town Board and Mayor of the borough. During the whole period was not once opposed for the leading municipal honours. Mr. Coonev- resigned his position as MaVor of Te Puke on Saturday last.
