OTAHUHU CALEDONIANS
SUCCESSFUL INGLESIDE Old Scottish songs, music and dances were featured in the programme presented at the monthly ingleside of the Otahuhu Caledonian Society in the public hall on Saturday night. There was a good attendance of members and visitors, including representatives of kindred societies. Scottish folk songs were rendered by Mrs. J. Greenall, and musical numbers were played by Messrs. J. Allan, It. Jack, A. Millar .and P. Hatton, the chief instruments being the old-time melodeon and concertina. They also played accompaniments for several dances. The orchestral accompaniments for dancing were played by Mrs. Clark, Miss Webber and Messrs. MeLaehlan. A number of old Scottish dances, including the eightsome reel and the quadrilles, wero enjoyed, the piping accompaniments being played by Mr. R. A. Archibald. Extras wero played by Mr. Millar at the piano. Supper was served under the direction of the ladies' committee, Mesdames J Mclvor, H. Weir and J. Greenall, assisted Dy other lady members.
