AMBULANCE CADETS
ANNUAL COMPETITION GRAMMAR SCHOOL'S SUCCESS , The annual competition for cadets of the St. John Ambulance' Brigade was held at the Rutland Street 6tation on Saturday afternoon. There were a large number of teams competing, including one of nurses from Whangarei. Cadets from the Auckland Grammar School achieved outstanding success and won three of the five trophies. The commissioner, Mr. C. J. Tunks, presented the prizes. The judges were:— Drs. Gladys Montgomery, Elaine Gurr, J. Kirkwood, S. de Clive Lowe, E. Vivian, S Kenrick and F. 11. Smale. Corps Officer 11. K. Crawford was in charge of the competition. The results were: — Invieta Shield. —Auckland Grammar School, 1; Auckland Ambulance, 2. Ambulance Challenge Cup, (senior): Auckland Grammar School, 1; Onehunga Ambulance, 2. Junior Trophy: Onehunga, 1; Manurewa, 2. Bailey Challenge Cup: Auckland Grammar School, 1; National Keserve Division, 2. Junior Cadet Efficiency Shield: Manurewa, 1; Onehunga, 2. Cadet Nursing Efficiency Cup '(senior): Auckland Nursing Division, 1; Whangarei, 2. Auckland District Challenge Cup (senior): National Reserve Nursing Division, 1; Auckland Division, 2. Auckland Efficiency Cup (junior nurses): Onehunga, 1; Manurewa. 2.
