PROFESSIONAL, TITLE E. L. PHELPS DEFEATS L. BARRY (Received September 6, Ct.35 p.m.) LONDON. Sept. 5 In the professional sculling championship of TCngland to-day, Eric L. Phelps, brother of E. A. Phelps, defeated L. Barry, nephew of Ernest Barry, over a course of four and n-half miles between I'utney and Mortlake, I-'ive lengths separated the boats, and the time was 21m IDs. The race was rowed for a stake of £2OO a-side.
