MOTHERS' UNION
PAPATOETOE BRANCH In spite of bad weather there was a large attendance at the Papatoetoe St. George's branch of tbe Mothers' Union. The hostesses for the afternoon were Mesdames H. Pulliene, Elliott and Jarrett. After a short service, conducted by the vicar, the Rev. H. H. Bedford, in the church, a social afternoon was held in the kindergarten rooms. Correspondence was read from the central president, London, regarding the celebration of the diamond jubilee ol the union. Suggestions for the establishment of a new " link " with either England or Ireland were also discussed. Arrangements were also completed for holding a special admission service next month, when a number of candidates will be made members.
