TAMAKI CLI/B'S SEASON DISTRIBUTION OF PRIZES The Tamaki Yacht Club held its annual distribution of prizes and dance in the clubhouse. There was a large attendance of members and visitors, including representatives from 12 other yacht clubs and also Mr. C. H. T. Palmer, chairman of the Auckland Yacht and Motor-Boat Association.' An apology was received from the Mayor, Mr. Ernest Davis. , . _ In extending a welcome to the visitors, the commodore, Mr. W. A. Wilkinson, stated that, the past season had been a successful one. The club, however, on one occasion, found it necessary to postpono one of the fixtures on account of unfavourable weather. With tho permission of the Victoria Cruising Club, the race in question was held in conjunction with the Victoria Club later in tho season and was brought to a successful issue. In addition to the various club events the annual contest between M and V class boats was held for the cup and miniatures presented by Mrs. H. Schmidt, also the annual harbour race for model yachts for a cup donated by Mr. Ernest Davis. Captain 11. H. Sergeant, harbour master, who presented the prizes, congratulated the club on its steady progress and paid a tribute to the work of tho commodore and his fellow officers and committee. The most important prizes were won by the following:—C. G. Macindoe Cup, Mischief; Rennick Cup and miniature, Muimai; Southland Cup and miniature, Waterbeetle; Ilarrop Cup. Waiwurri; Mrs. H. Schmidt's Cup and miniatures for M and V class teams' race, won by M class boats with 14 points; Good Fellowship Cup, Tamaki, sailed by R. Urquhart; Ernest, J)avis Cup, Aileen. Other first prize winners were:—Marika, Rita, Rangitira, Wakarana, Tamaki, Marie, Manutere I. Shalimar, Manaia, Valerie, Arline, Seymour, Rebel, Raneni, Tamariki, Mischief, Treasure, Muimai, Tawhau, Wish Wynne, Atalanta, Te Utu, Tempest. The Nixon Cup for trial fours rowing race was won by the Waiilemata Rowing Club and the ladies' combined rowing race by the Mercer crew.

A special prize, donated by Mr. F. Mar-shall-White, for the person securing the greatest number of new members, was won by Mrs. R. Williams.
