TRACES OF INTRUDER
PREMISES AT NEWMARKET WALKS ON TOP OF CEILING An intruder broke into premises in Broadway, Newmarket, early yesterday morning, but investigations have failed to reveal whether anything was 6tolen. Entrance was gained at the rear of the shop of Mr. T. Collins, hutclier, 266 Broadway, the intruder breaking a sheet of wire gauze over a window, which he opened. Climbing up through a manhole, he walked across the ceiling to a point above the adjoining premises of the Blue and White Store Company, Limited, forcing a hole in the plaster to facilitate entrance to the shop. From traces found yesterday, it is believed the intruder continued his exploration on top of the ceiling, and partially fell through above a hairdressing shop.
