FIRE AFTER ACCIDENT
SERVICE CAR DESTROYED ESCAPE OF PASSENGERS [IJY TELEGRAPH —OWN CORRESPONDENT J INVEKCAItCILL, Sunday Runhing off the main InvercargillDunedin highway at McNab on Saturday night, a service car travelling between Gore and Tapunui capsized and was completely destroyed by fire within a short time. Tho car had a full load of eight passengers who escaped with minor abrasions and bruises. The car left Gore about 11 p.m. and was noaring the McNab salevards, where the road had a slight down grade, when it left the carriageway and travelled for some distance on the grass. It finally swung round at right angles and crashed into a telegraph pole and capsized. It burst into flames immediately but tho passengers scrambled out.
