TAURANGA VALUATIONS
APPLICATIONS TO COURT [by telegraph—OWN correspondent] TATJBANGA, Tuesday A sitting of the Assessment Court to hear objections to the new valuations - in the borough commenced this morning before Mr. J. G. L. Hewitt, S.M. &.sso-" ciated with him were Mr. J. C. Potts, Government assessor, and Mr. E. L... Broad, Borough Council assessor. A number of property-owner:} are objecting to the valuations as being too high. The Borough Council, however, has filed a long list asking for B.n increase of valuations. Considerable evidence was heard, but no decisions were made by the Court to-day. The sitting will be continued to-morrow.
