GIRL GUIDE FUNCTION

DANCE AT NORTH SHORE An enjoyable dance, organised by the committee of the North Shore Girl Guides, was held in the Foresters' Hall, Devonport, on Saturday night. There was a large attendance of dancers who were received by the president, Mrs. W. C. Beaumont, who was wearing' a frock of amethyst ring velvet and silver lame. The committee comprised:—Mrs. J. W 7 . Aughton, who wore a frock of black Chantillv lace; Mrs. E. Mullan,black floral taffetas; Mrs. J. R. Spieer, black panne velvet; Mrs. W. Waters, lacquer red souple satin and black georgette; Mrs. B. L. Martin, flame crepe; Mrs. L. Mellrose, black Chantilly lace; Mrs. G. H. Robins, floral georgette; Mrs. C. J. Blake, black crepe suede; Mrs. W. J. Murfitt. eau de nil inarocain. Among those present were: Mrs. ,J. Thompson (district commissioner), Mrs. R.
