ANNUAL BALL
CAMBRIDGE GOLF CLUB The annual ball of the Cambridge Golf Club, which has become one of tho leading social events in the Waikato, was held in the Town Hall last evening and was an outstanding success. Decorations in tho brilliantly-lit hall consisted of vertical streamers of green and orange with large punga fronds and tall bamboo along the walls and massed on the stage. The same scheme was carried out in the supper room, which had orange-shaded lights and vases of yellow chrysanthemums, Iceland poppies, leaves and scarlet berries 011 the tables. The president of the club and bis wife, Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Garrard, were host and hostess for the evening. Mrs. Garrard was wearing a frock of sea-green moire taffetas. Among those present were: —Airs. H. Crowtber, who wore black and white flowered crepe; Mrs. A. X. Macky, black Spanish lace; Mrs. Gordon Vosper, black and silver metalasso; Mrs. F. Kingsford, floral crepe; Mrs. K. Wilkinson, platinum lace and jade green sash; Mrs. R. S. Alford, black georgette aud lace; Mrs. Eric Westlake, cornflower blue lace; Mrs. F. Lamb (Hamilton"), black satin and silver lame; Mrs. W. Bourke, black and white checked taffetas; Mrs. F. D Pinfold (Hamilton), -gold satin; Mrs. G. M. Firth, Marina green moiro taffetas; Mrs. J. Bailey (Tirau), geranium flat crepe; Mrs. G. Hamilton, ivory satin; Mrs. Waddle, lobelia blue satin; Mrs. M. Garland, black laco; Airs. A. Richardson, apple green crepe de chine; Airs. d'Auvergne (Waingaro), black satin and silver lame; Mrs. A. Batchelor, gold crepe; Airs. W. Buvis, black chiffon velvet; Airs. Banks, Fuchsia taffeta's; Aliss Elsie Robinson, pale pink double crepe; Aliss Nooline Banks, navy blue satin; Aliss Joan Savors, lime green cloque; Aliss Audrey Nolan, brier rose pink crepe; Aliss I. Garland, black and whito tunic frock.
