BOATING CLUB

SUCCESSFUL ANNUAL DANCE PRESENTATION OF TROPHIES The blue and gold colours of the Waitemata Boating Club, combined with winter foliage, were charmingly used in the decorations at the Rialto ballroom last evening 011 the occasion of the annual dance organised by the officers and committee of the club. The trophies won during the past season wero displayed in the ballroom and were later presented to the winners by tho commodore, Mr. C. J. Ellerbeck, who congratulated the successful oarsmen. The ladies on the committee present were:—Mrs. L. E. Brooker, who wore a frock of Lido blue crepe; Miss Is. Gallagher, in patterned georgette; Miss P Ross, midnight blue velvet; Miss M. Cairns, floral georgette; Aliss AI. Smith, coral tulle. Among others present were: —Mrs. C. C. Cairns, black ring velvet and silver lame; Mrs. L. R. Brockliss, pink floral satin; Mrs. N. Taylor, black laco with a cerise sash; Mrs. G. Becker, maize taffeta; Mrs. D. Gladding, leaf brown ring velvet and gold sequins; Mrs. H. Lindsay, black cire satin; Mrs. E Keon, patterned crepe; Mrs. R. Lcc, black Chantillv lace; Miss E. Campbell, black laco and georgette; Miss J. Reardon, royal blue crepe aud silver lame; Miss A. Herring, blue and white floral georgette; Miss P Scully, rose and black floral chiffon; Miss I). Heushaw, blue and white patterned satin; Miss Gwenyeth Stephenson, sunset taffeta; Miss Marion Ewart, bluo floral georgette; Miss Ola Bastcr, lime green taffeta; Miss B. Merson, tangerine marocain; Miss Betty Tinline, ivory satin; Miss Norma Stevens, ivory suede crepe; Miss Phyllis Keith, powder blue ring velvet; P. Roe, jade ring velvet; Miss T.
