On a holiday visit to New Zealand, Mrs. Max Herold arrived in Auckland yesterday by the Mariposa from Vera Cruz, Mexico, where her husband is German Consul. After a short tour of the North Island the visitors will leave for Germany on their first visit for five years, on June 19; On their way there they plan to visit China, India, Egypt and Palestine. Yesterday Mr. and Mrs. Herold visited some of the nearer scenic attractions of Auckland, including a drive to the top of Mount Eden. Travelling to Sydney with her husband, Mr. Richard Crooks, the English tenor, Mrs. Richard Crooks, accompanied by her son Richard and her daughter Patricia, passed through Auckland yesterday by the Mariposa. They expect to visit New Zealand later. Returning to Sydney after an extended tour of Europe, Mrs. L. G. Brundahl passed through .Auckland yesterday by the Mariposa. During her visit to England Mrs. Brundahl saw the new giant liner Queen Mary leave on her first voyage, and at the same time the German airship von Hindenburg passed overhead flying low over the Queen Mary. In Mrs. BrundahFs opinion this unique sight was one of the most remarkable in her stay abroad. Mrs. Brundahl has visited France, Germany, Italy, . Spain - and America in the course of her tour.
