OATMEAL SAUCE
This is a change from the ordinary white sauce. Knead a tablespoonful of fine oatmeal and one and a half ounces of butter together into a ball. Drop it into a breaki'astcupfui of hot milk and stir over gentle'heat until smooth. Add the juice of a quarter of a lemon, a teaspoonful of anchovy essence, and half a teaspoonful of chopped parsley. Stir till thick as cream, then serve.
