METER RENT CHARGE

DECISION TO ELIMINATE CAMBRIDGE POWER BOARD [I'RO.M OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT] CAMBRIDGE, Friday A decision to eliminate meter rent charges to consumers was made at a meeting of the Cambridge KlectricPower Board yesterday. This will mean an annual saving to consumers of £497 a year. The concession will bo available as from July 1.

At present separate meters are used to register electricity consumed for lighting, heating, cooking ranges and by motors.
