WHITSUNTIDE HOLIDAY
HEAVY TRAFFIC REPORTED HORSE SHOW AT OLYMPIA (Received June 1, 7.15 p.m.) British Wireless RUGBY, May 30 Cool weather is likely for Whitsun with rain, but holiday-makers show no sign of being deterred by tho not wholly favourable forecast. Heavy holiday traffic is reported by the railways, and air transport lines, which have doubled and trebled their services, ore unable to copo with tho record demand for bookings. The London, Midland and Scottish Bailway Company is running 600, and tho London and North-Eastern Bailway Company more than 1200 additional trains during Whitsuntide. The mileage to be covered by tho Great Western holiday excursion trains to-morrow and on Monday will bo about 80,000 miles.
Among tho many special holiday attractions is tho International Horso Show, which was opened to-day at Olympia by the Lord Mayor of London, Sir Percy Vincent, and a sheriff, who rode in stato through tho arena.
