SOUTHLAND CLAIM

"WONDERFUL PROVINCE " " Many Southland farmers do a great injury to their province when they travel north in that they are always complaining of the horrible climate we have down here," said the president of the Southland Provincial Executive of the Farmers' Union, Mr. G. A. Hamilton, in his address at the annual conference last week. " When we have rain, they have floods elsewhere; when we have wind, they have been having hurricanes. If you took away our moisture, you would take away much of our wealth. Perhaps you could do with less rain along the coast, but a few miles inland we get only half enough. We have a wonderful province and we should be delighted to tejl everybody about it."
