FLOWER PRESERVATION

[fuom oun own coiirkspondknt] CAPETOWN. May 1 The preservation of South African flowers, particularly the rare llowers of the Cape, is the main object of a bill which has been introduced by the Minister of Agriculture. The Cape Provincial Administration has complained of the grave danger of extinction to many of the rarer flowers, particularly since the discovery that there is a profitable market for them overseas; and in an effort to stop wholesale denudation the Government has decided to include indigenous plants or parts of such plants in the definition of "agricultural produce" or "produce."
