SOCIAL SECURITY
PRESIDENT'S REQUEST FINANCING AMERICAN SCHEME __________ WASHINGTON, April President Roosevelt has submitted to Congress a request for an appropriation of 460,800,000 dollars to finance the Social Security System of old age pensions and unemployed insurance. This sum would be supplemented by collecting 290,000,000 dollars as contributions from States which benefited from the National scheme.
