LADIES' ASSOCIATION VISIT FROM OVERSEAS TEAM Of tho opinion that ft visit from nn overseas team "would do much to strengthen the frame in the Dominion, delegates to the annual meeting of the Auckland Ladies' Hockey Association decided to urge the New Zealand Women's Association to invite an overseas team —preferably one from Fiji to New Zealand next year. The following local clubs were granted affiliation for 1936 in tho business girls' section:—Clevedon, Kiwi, Mount Eden, Ngaro, Papakura, St. David's Bible Class, Technical Past Students, University and "Wesley, and also the Collegiate section group. The Piako, Rodney and Thames Associations were granted affiliation for l'.vii. It was decided to affiliate with the New Zealand Women's Hockey Association, and Miss E. Moore (Wellington) was appointed as delegate to the annual meeting on April 30. Miss P. H. Dawson was re-elected as Auckland's nominee to vice-prcßidency. It was decided to open the season on May 9. Misses P. H. Dawson, E. Jeffrey and E. TTsliaw were elected the association's delegates to the Remuera Reserve board of control. A remit from the Thames Association asking that Country Week be held some time during tho month of July instead of in June was discussed at some length. GAMES IN PIAKO [from our own correspondent] MORRINSVILLE, Monday The Pinko Hockey Association's competitions will be invested with special interest this season, as there are now four ladies' tenms for the first time in recent years. The draw for Saturday is as follows:—Men's championship: Mangateparu v. Kereone. at Mangateparu; Morrinsville v. Te Aroha, at Morrinsville. Ladies' championship: Motumaoho v.
