HENRY MEMORIAL CUP The Auckland branch of the Royal Lifesaving Society at its meeting last night received advice from tho control executive of the society in London that the Wellington branch had won tho William Henry Memorial Cup for gaining tho highest percentage increaso in tho number of awards distributed during the last two years. Awards made bv the Wellington branch were 45.1 per cent more than in 193 H. It was agreed that the chairman, Mr. K. C. Reid, and the honorary secretary, Mr. J. F. Langley, should visit Hamilton with other members on Thursday night to invehtigate differences of opinion on the method of instruction and examination It was decided to join tho Auckland Surf Life-saving Association, the Navy League and the Victoria League in conducting a street appeal for funds on August '23 next.
