SUCCESS FOR PADGHAM WINNER'S BRILLIANT FINISH (Received April 26, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, April 25 With a score of 280 Padgham won the Silver King tournament, carrying a purse of £2OO sterling, which, following the £SOO sterling prize as the winner of the Daily Mail tournament, makes his total prize money £IOOO sterling in six months as he has now won the last three major tournaments in Britain. Padgham vesterday was the hero of one of the most dramatic finishes on record. He emulated Duncan's historic championship performance by picking up thirteen shots on the leader in one day's play. Padgham was told he needed to ■do the last three holes in eleven strokes to defeat Cotton, who had just returned 281.
