WRESTLING

CONTEST THlfr EVENING BLOMFIELD TO MEET KENT Harry Kent, the Philadelphian All-Amcrica footballer-wrestler, even although his impetuosity has cost him a couple of matches, has made every post a winner m his ettorts to gain the favour of Zealand wrestling enthusiasts and is in demand by associations all over the conntry. To-night he will meet "Lofty Blomfield in a return contest. Theii first bout, at the opening of the season, resulted in a win for Kent. Blomfield is confident that ho is eQual to the task cl conquering the aggressive American, particularly as he has had an opportunity to work into his proper form since their first meeting. Physically, it would be difficult to hnd two better matched, both being tall and solidly built, while both are also powerful men who can move very fast in th© ring. Since the days when he wrestled hero as an amateur Blomfield has definitely become a figure in the sport and some of last seasons finest matches were ones in which he was a contestant. Whether the match is on the lines of straight wrestling or varied by rougher tactics he can hold his own, generally giving more than he receives, and there is seldom a dull moment while he is in the rir.g. Kent'o record includes two draws with Dick Shikat, the world champion, and among the men he has beaten are Howard Cantonwini, who wrestled Joe Stecher in New Zealand a few years ago, and Hans Steinke, a formidable German.
