CASE OF OTAGO SWIMMER CONTROLLING BODY'S DECISION [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] WELLINGTON. Thursday Reconsideration of the case of P. E. Mathieson for inclusion in the New Zealand team for the Olympic Games, as requested by the Otago centre of the New Zealand Swimming Association, has been given by the executive of the New Zealand Olympic and British Empire Games Association, with the result that the position in regard to the swimming champion is unchanged. Pointing out that full consideration has been given the Otago centre's letter of April 20, the executive of the Olympic Association has replied as follows: "The executive assumes, as, indeed, it muct do, that the decision of the council of the New Zealand Swimming Association was made on proper grounds and after due reflection, and as the Olvmpic Association can only consider nominations received from its affiliated national associations, it cannot accede to the request of the Otago centre.
