TRACED BY HIS DOG
CARETAKER FOUND DEAD BODY ON BROWN'S ISLAND The body of the caretaker of Brown's Island, Mr. William Henry Patterson, agod 00, married, was found on the island, where he lived alone, by a visitor on Wednesday. The previous caretaker, _ Mr. A. G. Patterson, landed on the island about noon on Wednesday to remove a yacht, and in the vicinity of deceased's bach he saw his dog, which appeared to be uneasy. The dog eventually led him to the east side of the island, where ho found the body of deceased lving on a bank near the beach. Death had evidently occurred some time previously. A disinfectant bottle was lying between deceased's feet. v Evidence to this effect was given at an inquest opened before Mr. P. K. Hunt, S.M., coroner, yesterday. The inquiry was adjourned to enable a postmortem examination to be made.
