ELECTRICITY SUPPLY
SHUT-DOWN ON SUNDAY
Urgent repairs to the Auckland Electric-power Board's sub-station at Newmarket, which was damaged when struck by lightning last Monday, will necessitate the supply of electric power being shut down between 1.30 and 4 o'clock on Sunday afternoon in the area served by the sub-station. The area, which includes part of Newmarket, Kemuera, Epsom and Mount Eden districts, is bounded by Alba Road, Market Pond. Remuera Road, Khvber Pass, Mount Eden Road Balmoral Road and Merivale Avenue, Epsom. The work to lie done consists of making permanent the temporary connections made after the storm on Monday.
