SPEEDING LORRIES
FIXING OF GOVERNORS COUNCIL APPROVES PROPOSAL [by telegraph—OWN correspondent] TE AWAMTJTU, Tuesday In view of 'requent breaches of the motor regulations by motor-lorries, it was suggested by the engineer, Mr. J. W. Civil, at a meeting of the Waipa County Council last night, that legislation should be introduced compelling governors to be attached to vehicles in order to prevent speeding. The council approved the proposal, which it decided to submit to other local bodies and to the Minister of Transport.
