JUMP FROM WINDOW
VERDICT AT THE INQUEST An inquest into the death of John Walker, retired farmer, aged 63, of Te Rapa, who fell from the third storey of the People's Palace, Upper Queen Street, early in the morning of March 2, and died in the Auckland Hospital on' March 14, was concluded before Mr. W. It. McKean, S.M., coroner, yesterday. A verdict was returned that death was due to shock, following a fractured spino caused by deceased jumping out of a bathroom window at the People's Palace, and that ho was mentally depressed at the time.
