TENNIS PARTY

At the conclusion of the tennis season on Saturday, Mr. and Mrs. L. G. Savage entertained the members of their tennis club at an evening held at their residence in Mount Eden. Games were played and tenor solos, including a selection from "Naughty Marietta," and many old favourites, were rendered by Mr. Austin Purely. Humorouff sketches were given by Mr. It. Dow, and piano items by Miss Joan Savage. Supper was followed by the presentation of tournament prizes' by Mrs. R. Dow, the winners being Mrs. J. Mitchell and Mr. S. Mitchell. Mr. R. Dow, on behalf of the club, made a presentation to Mr. and Mrs. Savage, as a token of gratitude for their kindness during the past season. Among those present were Mesdames Dow, Savage, Mitchell, Tennant, Lee; Misses Vera McCarthy, Nancy Roan, Phyllis Adams, Eva Cummings and Joan Savage.
