WESLEY TENNIS CLUB
A SOCIAL EVENING Tho annual social evening of the Wesley Young Men's Institute Tennis Club was held in Wesley Hall, Pitt Street, on Saturday. Enjoyable entertainment was provided from a varied programme of items, games and selected moving pictures, including Hunua Easter camp scenes. The club president, tlie Rev. E. T. Olds, presented trophies and diplomas k ns follows: —Ladies' singles, Miss N. M. Hickling; men's singles, Mr. D. H. Payne; combined doubles championship, Miss M. Holding and Mr. P. H. Stewart; combined doubles handicap, Miss M. Holding and Mr. F. V. Murine; ladies' doubles, Miss P. M. Tonkin and Miss G. M. Tonkin; men's doubles, Mr. P. H. Stewart and Mr. A. G. Davidson. Through winning tho combined doubles championship, Miss M. Holding and Mr. P. H. Stewart become the first holder? of tho E.astoe Cup, presented on behalf of Mr. P. W. Eastoe, who left for England last year as a member of tho Grenadier Guards Band.
