NURMI'S TIME LOWERED
TWENTY KILOMETRE RECORD MUNICH. April 19 The Argentinian athlete Zabala ran 20 kilometres in lh 4m 2-ss, establishing a world's record and lowering Paavo Nurmi's time by 38s.
Zabala first came into prominence at the last Olympic Games, held in 1932 at Los Angeles, when he won the Marathon race. The result was considered a big surprise.
