STRIKE IN AUSTRALIA
ENGINE-DRIVERS' THREAT SYDNEY, April '2O A general mining strike on the south coast is threatened. A meeting of the State executive of the Federated En-gine-drivers' and Firemen's Association decided to withdraw all engine-drivers from the southern collieries, thus throwing them idle, unless their demands for the reinstatement of certain enginedrivers at Helensburgh colliery were conceded.
